Comparison of E-commerce Websites

E-commerce websites operate in a number of ways and contain different features. Below is a simple comparison between two giant e-commerce websites Amazon and eBay.

In terms of top page, both sites have similar layout with the search bar located at the middle and categories along the sides. A shop basket can also be seen along with a sign in option. Although, Amazon has the option to select country while eBay does not.

Displayed in the body of Amazon's Website Books, electronics, clothing, and household items are among the products available. Amazon Fresh, a grocery delivery service, and streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video and Music are also available. They also provide a number of features such as customer reviews, product recommendations, and a wish list feature that allows customers to save items for future purchase.

eBay, on the other hand, the body of the website contains sections where people can buy and sell a variety of goods and services. There is also an auction section where people can bid on items. Nectar points are used as Vouchers to purchase items. They provide a number of features, including customer reviews, product recommendations, and a watch list feature for customers to save items of interest. Unlike Amazon, the interface resembles a traditional marketplace with numerous vendors and sellers.

Amazon and eBay websites typically include links to their policies, customer service information, and other useful resources near the bottom of their pages.

The bottom section of Amazon's website includes links to Help & Customer Service, About Amazon, Amazon Devices, and Amazon Tours. These links provide access to information such as returns and refunds, account settings, and customer service contact information. They also provide links to their social media pages, job postings, and investor relations.

Website Homepage Wireframe: digital and hand sketch

In order to create an online gaming store that is easy on the eye, informative and easy to navigate, the wireframe and structure need to be efficient. Below are two forms of how I would imagine my website to look like. Although, not the final piece, this digital demonstration envisions how the homepage/landing would be.
