Testing Website Functionality Across Different Browsers/Platforms

 


Testing is an important part of the development process. The website is almost complete, it is time to test it the functionality and the view across multiple devices and platforms.

Firstly, a view of the website layout on a mobile devices. It is important to optimize the mobile view, as it is a commonly used mode of browsing the internet.




Next, It is time to test the functions of the website such as site search, cart, and checkout. In the images below, it can be seen that items can be added to cart for checkout, and the checkout is secure, so customers can be rest assured. Also, the search settings only needs a letter to help predict what a customer might be looking for.




Thirdly, the website as been tested to two different browser, to identify any possible problems or restrictions. It has been tested on Google chrome and Microsoft edge, two popular and widely used browsers.

ERD For Website Database. Identification Of Entities, Attributes, Relationships, And Cardinalities.

  (Author's work) With the help of draw.io, an ERD has been created for the website. The website depicts the relation between entities involved in my business. It can be seen that customers are able to purchase many products, and many products can be added to multiple orders.
