Documentation Of Progress In Website Development (using wix). Significant milestones in the development process. Part 2

Using the already made templates in wix gives the user a solid base from which to start from. It also has various apps which can be useful to improve the functionality of the website, such as developer mode and the language menu option.

This is a Preview of the progress of the homepage thus far. The header contains some important elements that this particular market would find useful. Also, the 'more' option is made easily accessible for customers to navigate to their preferred destination.

So far, there are only a few products. Most of which come from the template, however, I have added a few more and will continue to add more. Some products are on sale, as a result, are sold at a discount.

This is a category page of the website, which is specifically for games only. The games can be arranged or filtered by different characteristics, for instance, dicount, price or ratings. Like most aspects of the website, a good number of items and elements are in-built with the template, and this is no exception.

Above is a list of the major categories. In the gaming market it is important to identify and stick with what gamers are interested in. Here, accessories and controllers have their own separate area. Gamers are always looking to try new gadgets and add-ons, so it is important to have them.

This part has discussed some key aspects of the development process so far. Although, it is far from finished. With the help of wix, I am able design the wiebsite how I want, and take control of how I envision the layout to be. In the next part, I will be discussing more important pages and sections.

The Gaming market is ever expanding, as such in order to  catch the attention of a potential customer, displaying the most in-demand products at the top is vital. E-commerce, also known as electronic commerce, is the buying and selling of goods and services via the internet. Tim Berners-Lee, a British computer scientist, invented the Web in 1989. (Berners-Lee, Fischetti, & Bly, 1999, p. 1). Berners-Lee created the first Web browser and Web server, as well as the first Web page, at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). About Pages/Brand Stories Research For 2 Similar E-Commerce Websites

About Page (Legal Knocks, n.d.) The 'About Us' page  is a great digital asset. Anyone coming to your website for the first time will be curious to learn more about the business and will go to the About page to do so. It is a crucial step in the website design process for businesses (Dublino, 2023). Importance 1. The About page encourages a sense of familiarity and trust. 2. The About page explains the possibilities to visitors. 3. By introducing visitors to you and your staff on the About page, your company becomes more approachable. (Dublino, 2023) Best Practices 1. Continue to focus on your customers when writing your About page. You don't have to talk about yourself only on your about page. Visitors to your website are there because they require assistance with an issue or difficulty. 2. Share your narrative on your About page. The attention of your audience might be attracted by delivering a captivating story. A compelling narrative about the humble beginnings of ...
